Postwagen

A living piece of the city’s history. The Postwagen on the market square consists of a historic stone house and Aachen’s last remaining timber-framed house. A passage inside leads directly to the neighbouring Ratskeller.

Once a favourite meeting spot for the city’s most ambitious medical doctoral students, who would gather over beer and liqueur for lively academic chats. Thanks to the vintage telephone by the door, they remained reachable — and always on call.
